About the Tail Unit Association

Who are we?
The "Tail Unit" association was established out of a deep commitment to those who gave their all - IDF fighters, security forces personnel, and civilians who were harmed by acts of terrorism and hostility. We believe that every person who has experienced trauma deserves a high-quality, professional, and inclusive rehabilitation space that will allow them to return to balance and a creative life.
Our vision
To be a professional, warm and safe home for victims of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in Israel. To build the first holistic rehabilitation model of its kind in the country, combining the healing power of nature, the connection to animals, and integrated work on the body and mind – all in one continuous and uncompromising framework.

Ecological Farm
The therapeutic activity complex, which includes orchards, ecological gardening, mind-body practice spaces, and quiet relaxation areas at the foot of Mount Gilboa.
Alfa House Rural Accommodation
The accommodation and hospitality complex, which allows for retreats and long-term rehabilitation programs, with a customized health menu.
The combination of them
The combination of the two complexes creates a complete rehabilitation continuum, allowing victims to stay in a safe environment for a long time, away from stimuli that trigger trauma.
The unique operating model
Our model is based on three key principles:
Professional multidisciplinary
We do not offer "one treatment" but an integrated continuum of research-based interventions: equine and canine assisted therapy, therapeutic agriculture, Feldenkrais, yoga, meditation, and psychosocial support.
Ground environment
The quiet and isolated geographical location, together with the tillage and growth cycles, create a "sterile zone" from noise and stressors – a necessary condition for deep restoration.
Rehabilitation sequence
The connection between the activity complex (Heftziba) and the hospitality complex (Beit Alfa) allows for long-term rehabilitation programs, not just spot treatments.
